 Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City Bag of Beans is one of the must visit places in Tagaytay City. I am witness to how Bag of Beans has grown from a small coffee shop to an established dining place that it is now today.  Bag of Beans has also opened several branches along the Tagaytay City tourist stretch with six branches as of this writing. Bag of Beans caters as events venue and is one of the preferred wedding venues in Tagaytay City. Bag of Beans is also now into Bed and Breakfast accommodation. For this particular visit, me and my Family came for lunch. The food is really nice! Of course coffee and dessert after lunch is a must!  It was definitely worth the travel! Aurora Province, Philippines



Baler is a town in Aurora Province. This town is located in the northern part of Luzon. Baler is known as a surfing area. Surfing waves are present all year round, but the best waves come in between October and February. 

The Aurora Surfing Cup is an annual Surfing event which was started in 1997. It is a three-day competition in different events and also offer different surfing clinics. 

Please note that Baler is not spared of typhoon and is visited by typhoon at least 3-4 times per year. The typhoon season is from mid-June to November. So please take note and avoid scheduling your visit during the typhoon season.

Nearby is the Ermita Hill, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Sabang beach shoreline.

We also visited the The Millennium Tree of Aurora. This is a Balete Tree, which is more than 600 years old and is claimed to be the biggest Balete Tree in Asia. The height is estimated to be around 65 meters and the diameter is around 60 meters.

This video is a compilation of our visits. We traveled from San Pedro, Laguna Province to Baler, Aurora Province. This trip is around 250+Km one-way, and takes around 6-7 hours drive.

We enjoyed our trip... family bonding, eating, chatting, and just enjoying each moment together with the clan. I hope you enjoy this short video.

How to go to SUBIC This trip to SUBIC takes the route via the North Expressway (NLEX), which starts from Balintawak to the Dau Toll Plaza.  Next leg is via the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX ). NORTH LUZON EXPRESSWAY (NLEX) The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) runs from Balintawak, Quezon City to Sta. Ines, Pampanga – a total distance of 84 kms. The expressway has 15 exits and interchange.  The first leg of this trip is via the NLEX from Balintawak and exits in the Dau Toll Plaza. DAYAW DALAN San Jacinto Town Fiesta Dayaw Dalan is part of the San Jacinto Town Fiesta celebration. The event features competing teams. They perform street dancing on selected spots. They go around the town and show their dance numbers. The parade is done a day before the Town Fiesta celebration. The actual competition is held on the Town Fiesta day. Surf Kamp (Caliraya)

Surf Kamp Caliraya, Laguna Preparing for a weekend getaway is such a big task.  You have to consider a lot of things and ensure that everyone will enjoy the trip.  Therefore, when an opportunity for an outdoor adventutre was presented to us, We immediately confirmed and got started! We received an invite from our cousin requesting us to join them for an out of town trip. The  destination is Caliraya in Cavinti, Laguna. The itinerary includes a road trip to Caliraya, over night stay in Surf Camp , and a visit to the Japanese Garden .  Sounds good to me and my family! We packed our bags, food for two days, a tent good for a family of four, cooking utensils, water, flashlights, snacks, medicines, first aid kit, water, cooler and other stuff. We meet with our cousin at the Petron Station along SLEX.  We finalized the route, which exit to take, what stops and things to buy along the way.  We then headed for our out-of-town road trip!
