Explore MyPhilippines: Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City

 Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City Bag of Beans is one of the must visit places in Tagaytay City. I am witness to how Bag of Beans has grown from a small coffee shop to an established dining place that it is now today.  Bag of Beans has also opened several branches along the Tagaytay City tourist stretch with six branches as of this writing. Bag of Beans caters as events venue and is one of the preferred wedding venues in Tagaytay City. Bag of Beans is also now into Bed and Breakfast accommodation. For this particular visit, me and my Family came for lunch. The food is really nice! Of course coffee and dessert after lunch is a must!  It was definitely worth the travel!  Since it is a long weekend, we decided to go on a road trip to Antipolo, Rizal. 

We have never been on a road trip to this part of Rizal, so when we were planning for a road trip over the weekend, I took the opportunity to check on what places can interest us. 

I saw several places of interest from bloggers and what caught our attention are the following destinations. 

This is a good mix of different points of interest.

Casa Santa at Jardin de Miramar

Casa Santa at Jardin de Miramar is a museum of private owned Santa Clause collection, ranging from small figurines to life-size Santa Clause. 

Visitors are free to inspect each item for a closer look and even play with them. 

This place will surely give you joy and bring back memories of Christmas.l

Vieux Chalet Swiss Restaurant

Vieux Chalet is a Swiss restaurant that serves continental dishes made with local organic ingredients. The restaurant sits on top of a hill and has a full view of the city lights. This place is not easy to find, but most bloggers recommend that this is worth the trip.

Mystical Cave

Mystical Cave is one of the tourist spots in Antipolo. This place is known for religious rock formations and images on its walls. The water and stone from its cave are said to heal sick people and protect you from harm. Getting to this place is fairly easy for those with very good navigational skills, but may be challenging to most.

DAYAW DALAN San Jacinto Town Fiesta Dayaw Dalan is part of the San Jacinto Town Fiesta celebration. The event features competing teams. They perform street dancing on selected spots. They go around the town and show their dance numbers. The parade is done a day before the Town Fiesta celebration. The actual competition is held on the Town Fiesta day. How to go to SUBIC This trip to SUBIC takes the route via the North Expressway (NLEX), which starts from Balintawak to the Dau Toll Plaza.  Next leg is via the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX ). NORTH LUZON EXPRESSWAY (NLEX) The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) runs from Balintawak, Quezon City to Sta. Ines, Pampanga – a total distance of 84 kms. How to get there:  Antipolo, Rizal When I planned for this road trip to Antipolo, Rizal... I did my 'how to get there' research using Google Maps. The information provided was very useful... but the actual experience using the directions I got were quite challenging.  The route I got for the direction to get there was through Bicutan (General Santos Ave), via C6 and through different intersections along the way (Taytay Diversion Road, Ortigas Avenue Extension, etc). Initially, the route looked so simple, but the actual experience was very confusing because there are intersections that are not properly marked, which led us to a different destination.  We also have to stop several times to ask for directions when we felt we are travelling towards the wrong way. So this is quite challenging to get back on track.  In any case, what I will be recommending is a simple yet I believe is the best way to get you to Antipolo, Rizal.  My point of reference here is f...
