Explore MyPhilippines: Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City

Image
Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City Bag of Beans is one of the must visit places in Tagaytay City. I am witness to how Bag of Beans has grown from a small coffee shop to an established dining place that it is now today.  Bag of Beans has also opened several branches along the Tagaytay City tourist stretch with six branches as of this writing. Bag of Beans caters as events venue and is one of the preferred wedding venues in Tagaytay City. Bag of Beans is also now into Bed and Breakfast accommodation. For this particular visit, me and my Family came for lunch. The food is really nice! Of course coffee and dessert after lunch is a must!  It was definitely worth the travel! Surf Kamp
Caliraya, Laguna

Preparing for a weekend getaway is such a big task.
You have to consider a lot of things and ensure that everyone will enjoy the trip.
Therefore, when an opportunity for an outdoor adventutre was presented to us,
We immediately confirmed and got started!

We received an invite from our cousin requesting us to join them for an out of town trip.
The  destination is Caliraya in Cavinti, Laguna.

The itinerary includes a road trip to Caliraya, over night stay in Surf Camp, and a visit to the Japanese Garden
Sounds good to me and my family!

We packed our bags, food for two days, a tent good for a family of four, cooking utensils, water, flashlights, snacks, medicines, first aid kit, water, cooler and other stuff.

We meet with our cousin at the Petron Station along SLEX.

We finalized the route, which exit to take, what stops and things to buy along the way.

We then headed for our out-of-town road trip!

Surf Camp

Caliraya, Cavinti, Laguna

We left San Pedro, Laguna at around 10:00am and arrived in Caliraya Surf Kamp at around 12:00pm... just in time for lunch! It was just around 2 hours leisurely drive.

We reached the place and was assisted by a Surf Kamp staff.
We found a nice place to fix our tents.

Since it is lunch time already, we had lunch first.
We brought packed lunch, chicken adobo, salted egg salad. Hmmm! Yummy!

The place was so relaxing!
We were overlooking the lake and the breeze is cool and very very relaxing.
It was great experience!

We fixed our tents, which is quite challenging by the way, since the wind is quite strong.
Our tent was uprooted on the first spot we choose.

Well, this place is called Surf Camp mainly because of its strong wind all year long, which is perfect for wind surfing!

Anyway, we looked around and choose another spot.

Here's a tip... choose a place where there is a wind breaker.
In our case, we choose a spot behind a big plant (I'm not sure what the name is).
You will see this in the pictures I have posted below.
This plant helped break the strong winds and cover our tent.

It was a very relaxing day, away from the noise and stress of the urban life!

We stayed overnight and just enjoyed a very relaxing commune with nature!

Here are some pictures taken at Surf Camp, Caliraya.

This is my cousin fixing their tent.
This type of tent is ergonomic and designed to sustain strong winds.
This don't need a wind break.

This is our tent. Notice that we placed it behind those plants.
These plants acted as wind break, to keep our tent in its place.

Surf Camp is widely known  for wind surfing because of  the
constant strong winds all year long... just perfect for wind surfing!

Here's my two kids enjoying the cool breeze from the lake.

Here we are in our tent!
It may look small, but this tent fits all four of us!

These are our tents, from another angle.

My SweetHeart taking her quite time!

Here's a pair of surf gears!

Another surf gear!

You can rent a jet ski, while in the Surf Kamp.

You can also rent a Para-glide if you feel like being adventurous.

Here's a scene from the other side of Surf Kamp.

Here's from another side of Surf Kamp.
