Explore MyPhilippines: Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City

 Bag of Beans, Tagaytay City Bag of Beans is one of the must visit places in Tagaytay City. I am witness to how Bag of Beans has grown from a small coffee shop to an established dining place that it is now today.  Bag of Beans has also opened several branches along the Tagaytay City tourist stretch with six branches as of this writing. Bag of Beans caters as events venue and is one of the preferred wedding venues in Tagaytay City. Bag of Beans is also now into Bed and Breakfast accommodation. For this particular visit, me and my Family came for lunch. The food is really nice! Of course coffee and dessert after lunch is a must!  It was definitely worth the travel! Trip to Ticao Island (San Jacinto, Masbate) by BUS

San Jacinto, Masbate is in the Ticao Island. This is around 11-12 hours drive from Manila or around 550+ Kilometers.
Ticao Island, Masbate is endowed with scenic islands and beautiful beaches surrounding the island. Along Ticao Island Strait is the Manta Ray Bowl, where Tourist Divers visit to have a close encounter with the giant Manta Rays. Near this site is also where the Whale Shark commonly known as "Butanding" can be seen. You can also visit the Katandayagan Falls and the Burabangkaso Island.

How to Go there by BUS...

There are several Bus Lines plying the Manila to Bulan route. These Bus Lines are mostly stationed in Pasay City and in Cubao. Check the PhilTranco, JAM Liner and other smaller bus companies within these two areas.

If you are keen on monitoring the places the this trip will pass by... here's how it goes...
Stage 1: South Expressway: Mantrade to Batangas/Lucena Exit (Trip by BUS)
If you are keen on monitoring landmarks to help you estimate how far you have gone, please take note of the following South Expressway exits. This stage will start from Mantrade.
Starting from Mantrade:
  • Merville Exit
  • Bicutan Exit
  • Sucat Exit
  • Alabang Exit
  • Susana Heights Exit
  • San Pedro Exit
  • SouthWoods Exit
  • Carmona Exit
  • Mamplasan Exit

Stage 2: Batangas/Lucena Exit to Bulan, Sorsogon (Trip by BUS)
This stage will start from the South Expressway (Batangas / Lucena Exit). Drive along and take note of the towns and landmarks that you will be passing by.

  • San Pablo City
  • Tiaong
  • Sariaya
  • Pagbilao (Lucena)
  • Dalahican Port (Atimonan)
  • Plaridel

  • Polangui
  • Guinobatan
  • Daraga, Albay
  • Casiguran

  • Bulan

The End point for the Bus Trip is Bulan, Sorsogon. Total travel covered around 550+ Kilometers from Alabang! In around 11-12 hours bus ride.

Stage 3: Bulan to San Jacinto, Masbate (By Boat)

Go to the Pier and ask around which boat will be going to San Jacinto, Masabate. Check the schedule and if you still have enough time, check around this town.

Travel by boat going to the town of San Jacinto takes around 1+ hours, depending on the speed of the boat. Max should be just around 1.5 hours.
